It was like the Staples commercial on my block this morning. Another mom and I were doing a happy dance as the kids went to the bus! Here are the first day of school pix. They will have to blog about it later. Jenée got home from school at 3:20 and was picked up at 3:40 for dance. Alan retrieved her at 8:30. She is tired from a long day and sore from "attitudes" at dance. This is a ballet move not a state of mind. Now you tell me, did geeks look like this in your days at school? Jenée insists she is a geek. Maybe it is just the fact that I wear big mom goggles but she does not look geeky to me.

Cole said they didn't to ANYTHING all day at school. But tomorrow should be better. Tomorrow he has gym! Finally school is in session. Cole was happy to be the first kid at the bus stop.
I think my journalism instructor is ADD. He jumps from idea to idea, forgets what he was talking about ......wait. This sounds a lot like Mary and me. Maybe he is alright after all. All of us have to write for the school newspaper. Yuck. The best part was when they were talking about photos to go with the story. The editor (she is in the class) tells us the picture really is not that important. It really does not have to be related to the story. You just want to catch the eye of the reader. And really it does not have to be in FOCUS. I about peed my pants trying to not bust out laughing. I took notes on this just so I could call Jim (You know my photo editor brother) and tell him. His response was something like this :" AAAHHHHHRRRRRGGGGG! What the H*&% are they teaching you!" I just got my moniew worth from my class.
Speaking of pictures: There was a better picture of Cole but this one showed my chair off best so I went with that. See it really is not about the story but more about....ME!

Maybe we have ADD and don't realize it or really care because well, we're friends and don't see it as a problem. Oh, Jenee, just because you are not decked out in gothic fashion and have no facial piercings doesn't make you look like a geek. In fact, my girls look very similar going to school and they would be very upset to think they were in geek mode.
