Phone conversation with Danielle:

The set up: The kids' school was on a two hour delay because of a power outage (shocker! No pun intended. We have had several power issues over the past year.) The girls' before school care was closed as well. I was calling to see if Tammy or Brian wanted me to watch the girls.

Ring

"Hello this is Danielle"

"Hi Mija. This is Aunt Bec."

"Hi Aunt Bec."

"Hey is your Mom or Dad home with you."

"My Mom. "

"Can I speak to her?"

"She can't come to the phone right now."

"OK. I was just wondering if your Mom needed to get to work. Honey, is she in the bathroom?"

"No. She just doesn't want to talk to you."

At this point Tammy quickly gets on the phone. Guess she wasn't on the toilet. She explains that it was not about me. She was avoiding somebody else. Whew.
