Today was Cole's last regular ballgame. When they were warming up Cole caught one in the mouth (on a bounce.) J and I were sitting in the van when it happened. Alan came over and told me. Cole was sitting on the bench with ice on his mouth. It was difficult but I resisted going over to check on him. When I walked by him on the way to my seat I said "Let's see." One of the coaches commented on it and I said "No blood. Get out there and play." I don't think the coach expected that.
Just last week one of the other moms said that her son told her that if he is playing and his leg falls off she is not to go out on the field. He will get back to the bench himself. My guess was that Cole felt the same way and his leg was attached firmly so I stayed put.
In case you are wondering, his tooth does hurt a little. Man, I thought we might make it to double digits before we start loosing the big boy teeth!
Here is another picture. Mostly we(Jenee and I) like it because in the background you can see Dimitri from Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance!"
Cole's team did win and he had some great hits.
