An Exciting Ball Game

Yesterday was Cole's second baseball game. Cole was looking good in his new white baseball pants that the right size. His first pair of pants were as long as he is tall. We went to the game knowing that the weather was not going to cooperate. Several of us in the stands had somebody calling us to give us weather updates. Finally, I saw lightening. Some man in the stands actually said to me "No you didn't." Do I really look like a woman who is going to take that? Don't worry I did not physically attack him, but I did stick up for myself.

Nobody was going to call the game. Two Moms from our team pulled their sons from the dugout. Alan and I decided to also. We told the coach about the lightening. More Moms started to grab their kids. Then the sirens went off. Yes, tornado sirens. People were running with their kids.

The first thing I did was call Daddy to make sure it was not an actual sighting. Nope. Doppler. We drove home fast but we stopped at all stop lights. I tried to take a picture and accidently had my camera set on video. It is not that great and really does not show how creepy things were and the light was going to turn green.

By the way, the baseball game was looking to go well. Cole batted forth (clean-up hitter I am told) he hit an in-field double with a nice slide into second. Noah batted second with a nice line drive taking him to second base. They had four runs come in before the sirens went off.
