Reunion Northern Style

Alan's family reunion managed to coincide with his company's inventory again. I decided to head up with the kids by myself. This is a first. We made it without having the added tour of the east side of the state thanks to Jenee's navigational skills. Brian's family joined us up at Norm and Shirley's. I think with the eight of us, the town's population was temporarily increased by 25%.

Before we left the Creek we went birthday gift shopping. Cole is determined to get Hillary started in the right direction. Friday night Cole, Jenee, Danielle, Hillary, and I were sitting on the deck. It was a little cool so I asked the girls if they had some pants and a jacket for Hillary. Cole and J both perked up and said, "Oh. We'll take care of it." Off the three of them went into the house. A few minutes later Cole announced, "In the blue corner, weighing in at 19 pounds, Hillary 'Chicken' S......!" She was decked out in a University of Mitten hoodie and matching pants. Cole is determined to knock-out that State gene Brian is instilling.

I did knit a sweater, finally, for Hillary. But did I get a picture of her wearing it? Nope. I did get one of it on its own when I finished it. Somebody send me a picture of her wearing it!

One day Jenee, Danielle, and I tried to go to the beach. We felt like we were being sandblasted. We went back again another day with Cole and Maria. The water was cold but it did not seem to bother Cole, Mia, and Dani. Somehow we lost track of time. We were there 2 hours and were late for dinner. Oops. Next time maybe a responsible adult can go with us.

Enjoy the slide show.
