My blogging must be on a lunar cycle. Sorry about that. This year the Easter Bunny brought Jenee and Cole Bananagrams. Jenee and her friends played this game at Christmastime and she really liked it. We love games and word games are my favorite. I am really going to start sounding like an advertisement. You do not need to keep score, so this helps to keep it kid friendly (or for those adults in your lives who just don't like to do math.) Since you are making your own little crossword puzzle even beginning readers can play this game. You could even adapt the game so that little kids have enough vowels and consonants to make words, because while we love the game, it can get a little frustrating when you draw 5 "O's" or wxyz! Another option would be to require themed puzzles. Cole had and anatomy thing going for one of his puzzles. Word has it that EB found Bananagrams at Barnes and Noble, but a little search found it at Target as well.
