Movie Reviews:

Bec:
This weekend we (different combinations of us) watched movies that we picked up from the library. Love the free DVD's from the library. In this case it was especially nice that it is a free service. And as a bonus, they were returned on time so no late fees were incurred. Until we can come up with a fun rating system we are going to keep it simple with recommend it or not.

Catwoman ~ reviewed by Jenée
It could have been a good video game. That's not a compliment. It should have been a cartoon. Halley Berry was not that good.
J says: skip it.

In Good Company ~ reviewed by Jenée and Bec
Dennis Quaide, Topher Grace and a blonde girl. This story is Dennis's company is bought out and he is replace by Topher who is half his age. Toper becomes involved with Dennis's daughter. But the movie is more about Dennis's and Topher's relationship. People are fired frequently.

Over all it is sad and a little too realistic. People are getting fired and demoted. In the end the girl and the guy do not get together.

J says: rent it if you want to feel depressed.

Bec says: skip it. We saw the real thing on the news when Kellogg did their house cleaning.

Sideways ~
Two guys go on a week long trip before one of them is to be married. They are supposed to be drinking wine and bonding. There is bonding but not with each other. Goodness! This was an Oscar nominated movie? It just goes to show we are not real movie critics. What do we know?

Bec says: buy the wine skip the movie. If you must see the movie, buy two bottles of wine and drink along with them. This will make the movie easier to swallow.

Al says: Yeah. ( I called him to get his opinion just for this post) He said somebody bought the critics off.

What can we recommend? Well it is not a movie but we have been watching "Sex and the City." It is very raunchy but funny. If a parent figure decides to watch this they might not want to mention it to their son. There is no way Jenée will be watching this! And if Cole ever finds out about this he might take notes. A big no-no for him. Ever! But for those of age, put the kids to bed and have a good laugh.

Cole is not here to offer a movie review but I know he saw The Sponge Bob Square Pants Movie. He said it was really funny. This is a cartoon about a sponge! The boy is eight. You decide for yourself "is this really a review that will reflect my feelings?"

Just for the record the Spongebob movie is not worth the cost of the rental. This is coming from a grown up that actually enjoys the cartoon on TV. Even my 10 year old daughter thought it was "stupid". As for the rest of the movies I trust Bec's opinion. Of coarse we are the only two laughing in most of the movies we enjoy. What does that tell you?
